Punjabi Kadhi | Kadhi Pakora | Dahi Kadhi | Besan Dahi Kadhi | Instant Recipe

So let’s get started and make a recipe from #Punjab!

  • Preparation time 10 mins

  • Cooking time 20 mins

  • Servings 6

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ Cup : Besan / chickpea flour

  • ½ Cup : Dahi / curd/ yogurt

  • 2 Tea spoon : Turmeric powder

  • 2 Tea spoon : Coriander powder

  • 2 Tea spoon : Garam Masala

  • 2 Tea spoon : Kasuri methi / fenugreek leaves

  • 1 Table Spoon : Kadi Pata / curry leaves

  • 2 Count : Red dried chili

  • 1 Tea spoon : Methi seeds / fenugreek

  • Table salt to taste

  • Water as required

  • 100 ml : Mustard oil

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add besan / chickpea flour

  2. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kasuri methi / fenugreek leaves and table salt

  3. Pour water and form a smooth flowing batter

  4. Keep a kadhai on medium flame, add mustard oil

  5. Drop one table spoon of batter

  6. Deep fry till they turn golden brown

  1. Take a bowl and add besan / chickpea flour, dahi / curd/ yogurt and mix well

  2. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kasuri methi / fenugreek leaves and table salt

  3. Take a kadhai on medium flame, add mustard oil

  4. Add methi seeds / fenugreek, kadi Pata / curry leaves, red dried chili and let them crackle

  5. Add the besan / chickpea flour – dahi / curd/ yogurt mixture

  6. Add water and let it boil

  7. Add pakodha and boil till it becomes a little thick

  8. Ready to serve

*#Tips:

  1. Chili powder or chili flakes are optional

  2. Wants more thick kadhi add little more besan in step 6

**#Serve with rice, roti, paratha, poori
