Gatte Ki Sabji | Besan Gatte | Chickpea Flour Curry | Rajasthani Cuisine | Healthy Recipe


Coming and taking you to #live experience of #Rajasthan, #India. We have come up with a #delicious and #mouthwatering #recipe and would like to share our some #experience with you. We felt that gate ki sabji, tastes equally as #kadhi, we have already prepared that. But only thing that makes it #different are the #gatte and of course #unique.

So, let’s get started and make this super #awesome recipe!

  • Preparation time 30 mins

  • Cooking time 30 mins

  • Servings 6

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup : Besan / chickpea flour

  • 1 Tea spoon : Ajwain / carom seeds

  • 1 Cup : Dahi / curd/ yogurt

  • 1 Tea spoon : Jeera / cumin seeds

  • 2 Tea spoon : Turmeric powder

  • 2 Tea spoon : Coriander powder

  • 1 Tea spoon : Garam masala

  • ½ Cup : Onion

  • 2 Count : Green chili

  • 1 Table spoon : Mustard oil

  • Table salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add besan / chickpea flour, ajwain / carom seeds, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dahi / curd/ yogurt and mix well

  2. Add 2-4 drops of oil, table salt and form a dough

  3. Roll into thin and smooth cylinder shaped

  4. Put water to boil in a pan and add cylinder shaped rolls and cook for 10 minutes

  5. Take out and keep in refrigerator for 10 minutes

  6. Take a bowl and add dahi / curd/ yogurt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, chopped green chili and mix well

  7. Take a kadhai on medium flame, add mustard oil

  8. Add green chili slit open from between to the oil and let it crackle

  9. Add jeera / cumin seeds, onion and let them crackle

  10. Add the mixture to it and boil

  11. Cut cylinder shaped gate into pieces and boil

  12. Ready to serve

*#Tip: Chilly powder or chilly flakes are optional


**#Serve with chapatti, roti, fried rice, paratha, poori, rice
