Chili Pakoda | Pakora Recipe | Crispy Chili Pakora | Mirchi Pakoda | Hot Pakora


Talking of #pakodas and not talk about #Mirchi ka #pakoda? No way! There has been a #variety and #shapes of #chilies. They come in different #taste as well as in #color. So we thought of giving a #chili try. Let’s see how it turns out.

So let’s get started!


  • Preparation time 5 mins

  • Cooking time 10 mins

  • Servings 2

Ingredients

  • 2 Whole : Mirch / green chili

  • 1 Cup : Besan / chickpea flour

  • ½ Tea spoon : Turmeric powder

  • ½ Tea spoon : Coriander powder

  • 1 Tea spoon : Kasuri methi / fenugreek leaves

  • ½ Table spoon : Chat masala

  • ½ Table spoon : Table salt

  • 100 ml : Mustard oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Take mirch / green chili and cut it from between

  2. Take a bowl, add besan / chickpea flour

  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi / fenugreek leaves, chili powder and table salt

  4. Pour 2/3 cup of water and mix well

  5. Make a thick flowing smooth batter without lumps

  6. Keep a pan on medium flame, add mustard oil to the pan

  7. Add mirch / green chili to the batter and coat it properly

  8. Add the batter coated mirch / green chili to the medium hot oil

  9. Drop some batter using spoon on to each mirch / green chili to give them a heavy coat

  10. Deep fry the mirch / green chili till they turn golden brown

  11. Serve on a plate by sprinkling some chat masala on top of it

*#Tips:

  1. Chili powder or chili flakes are optional

  2. Can add coriander leaves

  3. Can add more water to form a smooth batter in step 5

**#Serve with green chutney or red sauce or ketchup
