Bhindi | Ladyfinger Fry | Masala Bhindi | Okra Sabji


Who could ever say they don’t like “#Bhindi”? Guess they never #tasted it that can only be the #excuse. Anyways today, let’s make a #masala #bhindi, which we bet would be #healthy, #nutritious, #tasty, #mouthwatering and #finger #liking #good.

So, let’s get started and let’s rock it!

  • Preparation time 10 mins

  • Cooking time 30 mins

  • Servings 6

Ingredients

  • 500 gms : Bhindi / ladyfinger

  • 1 Cup : Onion

  • 1 Tea spoon : Jeera / cumin seeds

  • ½ Tea spoon : Heeng / asafetida

  • 1 Tea spoon : Turmeric powder

  • 1 Tea spoon : Coriander powder

  • 1 Tea spoon : Garam masala

  • 2 Table spoon : Mustard oil

  • Table salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take kadhai on medium flame, add mustard oil

  2. Add jeera / cumin seeds, heeng / asafetida and let them crackle

  3. Add onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes

  4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala

  5. Add table salt and sauté for 2-3 minutes

  6. Add chopped bhindi / ladyfinger and mix well

  7. Mix after every 5 minutes for 20 minutes

  8. Ready to serve

*#Tip: Chilly powder or chilly flakes are optional


**#Serve with chapatti, roti, paratha, poori
